Ask yourself, can you trust it as a fowler, sighter or put in the rotation in a match?
I’d never trust it. It’s one piece, throw it away and be done with it.
Your OCD will wonder, was it the brass or me more often than I have 99 pieces.

Sizing 22 GT to 20 GT. Musta been a soft one
I like Imperial Sizing Wax for this kind of work - but I size fired cases with normal case lube. I don't like the wax for regular sizing and I can't articulate why other than I get better headspace consistency with case lube.

Did you start with new brass? I wouldn't re-anneal it if it was annealed by the maker. Would make it too soft as you suspected.

Other point is to use an intermediate bushing and neck down in 2 steps if you are getting a lot of fallout.

As for the prodigal case: I have a 1 gallon plastic ice cream bucket under my bench nearly full of similar rejects to take for recycling some time.

Can't help with the OCD - seems to be a pre-requisite for hanging out here. You are in good company.

The other 99 worked perfect
I just started too small on the bushing.

I've fixed cases like this before with zero problems, drop about 4 grains of powder your using jam a bullet pretty good into the lands and walla fireformed case.
