Anyone else having problems with Stockys Stocks?

I don't normally do this but I have to vent on this one. I ordered two stocks from Stockys on Jan 8th 2021. I placed the order by phone and was told lead time was currently 4-6 weeks. No problem, I was still waiting on a couple Proof barrels to show up anyways. Fast forward almost 7 weeks later. I had made several phone calls to customer service, get placed on hold then told no one is currently available and that if I leave my name and number someone would call me back. Never happens. A few days later on 2-22-21 I get an email from a Jessica from stockys that states. "Cliff (not my name) stocks will be in by the end of the week thank you for your patience." Fast forward to today and I have left my name and number everyday for about the last 10 days and have yet to receive any sort of response back. Like I said I normally don't do these types of posts but, so far I am out $1300 bucks that they charged at the time of purchase and have no idea if I will ever be refunded or have a stock show up. I have since ordered different stocks from another manufacturer that showed up very timely.

Did you ask for a refund in your email to them? It sounds like you intend to cancel the order so that would make sense to me. If they are truly unresponsive you can always ask for a refund through your credit card company.

I have, in both email which there is no reply and also by phone to which I get the same "please hold for someone in customer service" and then "please leave your name and number and we will call you back" I have tried being polite and I have tried being snarky. I get the same treatment.

Well, I guess in that event I would email them telling them that unless you hear they have canceled your order and reimbursed you within X days, you will contact your card company and file a complaint an request for reimbursement.

I get ticked at things like that too. I found the president's name and company's address at the Better Business Bureau. I would drop him a nice letter informing him that you feel like a victim and will be advising others of your treatment. Be specific in the number of times you have tried contact.

I have done this in the past and gotten immediate results. Most companies don't want a bad image and it is easy for people to stir that up on the WWW.

I bought one with the full aluminum chassis and when I set the Bighorn SR3 long barreled action in it the barrel channel was off on one side by 1/16" inch. The bottom of the action wouldn't even contact aluminum block. When I called to tell them that the aluminum chassis was misaligned in the stock they informed me that "that can't happen, they are built in a fixture that keeps everything in line, ther must be something wrong with your rifle". Went to work on the barrel channel and fixed it myself, but won't buy another one. The damn thing shoots less than 3/8" groups with a take off barrel btw, so not necessarily the rifle.

I have bought numerous stocks from them in the past as well, never a problem until now. I realize that these are unprecedented times but I also feel like I have been more than patient for a simple response of some kind. Thats' all that's really required from them at this point. Just be up front with me and say hey its going to be another 3 months do you want to cancel your order or wait?

Well apparently the 540th call is the charm. Just completed my morning call to Stockys and actually got a customer service rep to answer the phone. Stocks were still looking at a few weeks wait so I cancelled the order and should be getting refunded shortly.

Don't wait so long next time. When you pay with a CC, you can simply file a claim with your credit card company (online or over the phone), and they will -- typically -- immediately issue you a refund. Then it is up to the merchant to argue their case, which for the circumstances you describe means they have no argument at all. Don't enable bad service. Stocky's should NOT have charged you until they shipped the goods.

I ordered my carbon fiber back during the black friday sale in Nov. and just received it last week. They said it would take a while. My laminated one is still being made, so I am waiting for that one. Way back before the china flu they had a lot of them in stock.
