Anyone dress up for competition?

I do not know about yoose guys but unless I am fixin something messy I make sure I am in business casual and presentable when I appear in public. It is out of respect for myself. Mowin the lawn or fixin the car, I am in grubbies. Restocking the fridge, headed to a match, visiting the local gun store, nice clean shirt and slacks are in order. Personal grooming is part of it too.

I see those slobs in the grocery store in pajama's, slippers, and dirty sweat pants and cannot believe that they have so little self esteem that they allow themselves to appear like that.

It is such a shame to see a person allow themselves to be seen in such a condition of disrepair.

This is why I love the Dollar Store, you don't have to dress up like you do when you go to Walmart....

I’m pretty good with if it looks like they have recently bathed in the last day or so!

When I started flying for the airlines, my first bid was NY to Chicago. A coach ticket was $695.00 and that was in the 60s. Way before deregulation. Those that could afford that, dressed on airplanes, including the cabin staff, who had to be single, or a certain height. weight and level of attactiveness. Those who could not afford it went by train or bus.

For those my age, you just have to look at the line up for the school bus (pre-pandemic) in the morning.

My neighbor always wears a suit and tie. I went with him to Home Depot to pick up plywood, need my truck, and he wore it. Doesn’t have any other clothes. I have gone shooting with him and he may take off the jacket if it’s really hot out.
He is not weird or anything it’s just what he does.
