Anybody using wax with Moly?

I have been using just moly and bullets to coat them,no shot).

How are you applying wax to the bullets after the moly?

I've tried several methods, none of which work every time. If you come across something that does, please let me know. BTW, I have about 3 lbs of micronized carnauba wax if anybody needs a bit.

What I do to get the wax to go on smooth was start the tumbler and put a heat lamp over it.
It seemed that the warmer the wax the better and smoother job of laying on the coating.
Then after doing the wax treatment I would tumble the bullets for about 3 minutes in fresh untreated corn cob to take off any irregular surface particles.
Used to get some very nice looking bullets this way.


Saw you said you didn't use shot. I do,I started out with a NECO kit. It seems to work well for moly and waxing.
I use a open top type of vibratory tumbler. and I used a different tumbler bucket for each step to keep things fairly clean and separate.
