Anybody tried Weaver Super Slam

Gary in MD

Has anyone tried the Weaver Super Slam scopes? They seem like quality optics, I have thought about getting one with the EBX etched glass reticle. Natchez has them on sale and I think that Weaver has a rebate offered. I have Leupold and Zeis Conquests already, just curious about these. Thanks for any feed back,
Gary

Gary we caught them on sale a Natchez and put a couple on p-dog guns so we could turn them down when the mirage got bad and loved them. The Nitrex made by weaver also work well for grand kids deer rifles. John

what john said i can even see throw it and the sale price was to good to pass up got one of both on deer rifle and on my CZ 22 mag.

Own a couple of the Nitrex label Weaver Super Slams, a 3-15x42 and a 4-20x50. Very nice scopes. Had a Zeiss Conquest owner spend some time behind the 3-15x42 Super Slam one day at range. His Zeiss was in same power range as my Nitrex/Weaver. He was impressed with it. As I recall, he couldn't find anything about my scope that made it inferior to his Zeiss and my scope cost a lot less than his scope. Don't have the EBX reticle in mine, so can't comment about it. Only complaint I've ever read from a Super Slam owner is its weight.......might bit on the heavy side and maybe one you'd not want on a light carry rifle.
