Thinking real hard about a small 7 PRC, sway me if you can.
Based on which cartridge?Thinking real hard about a small 7 PRC, sway me if you can.
If you're talking about the 6.5 PRC necked up, I've got a custom reamer and dies on order, so I can't comment just yet, but based on some of the info on here, I'm hoping to reach the upper 284 Shehane node, with less pressure due to the stronger case design. Hopefully it proves to be accurate - haven't heard much in this regard but if it proves the equal of the 284 in accuracy, I'll take that - and if it can trump it, even better.Thinking real hard about a small 7 PRC, sway me if you can.

It should get it done !! Whidden. What custom dies you going with?
I went with .225.It should get it done !! How much throat are you allowing yourself on
your ordered reamer ?? I'm thinking .240" should about do it.
I did as well - .225". I will be using the Micron 6.5 PRC die from Bullet Central and I'm glad I got the die before ordering the reamer. These dies are outstanding, however, the 6.5 PRC die is definitely slanted to minimum dimensions. New Lapua brass shows contact with the die for most of the case length. If anyone is planning to use this combination of sizing die and brass, the reamer specs should take this into account.I went with .225.
