anybody shooting a 22BRDX?

Not quite the same but I had a 22 brx and anticipated a real boost in speed over my 22 BRS. I had too much freebore and some bullets were barely in the neck . never got it to be consistent and I blamed the excessive freebore. The biggest downside was early throat erosion...a lot of powder(22-250 like) in a small bore. To add insult to injury, my match barrel was a copper magnet and getting it clean was a b___h. I've thought of having the reamer reground to very little or no freebore...this barrel was a 9 twist and due to too much freebore I couldn't shoot anything light. I went back to my 22 BRS and they make me happy. Surprised nobody has responded.

I have one, but I`m not going to be of much help....


Mine is a 12 twist for shooting the 53 vmax from, H322 AA2520 were 2 powders that I was going to try first.

Just haven`t had time to fool with it.

What twist is your barrel????

My barrel is a 1-8 twist and I plan on using 80 gr or better bullets. I'm using 80 gr SMKs to fire-form with. Using Varget I'm getting some pretty nice groups. My chrono has gone toes up so I can't get a handle on the velocity.
