Nice looking grips Doc but he gets a lot of coin. I have some decent long factory grips made out of goncalo alves, long meaning they go beyond the bottom of the frame for a round butt.

Dont they call those banana grips? Im looking for the smallest possible non rubber grip i can find. I have rubber crimson trace on there now and they get hung in my pocket

I have 3 sets of Craig Spegel boot grips in Cocobolo on my j frames. I got these to avoid the pocket grabbing issue with rubber grips. Mine are straight grained with the custom fit option ($40 and you don't have to send him the gun)

I am very satisfied.

I also really like the Spegel grips for a J Frame. I don't often carry a revolver anymore, but if I do it will be my Model 60 (357 mag) and it will be in a pocket holster. I need relatively thin and shorter grips for this reason. A pair of Spegel grips fit my need for many years now. They don't tame the recoil in the slightest, but nothing else really would anyway.

It also doesn't hurt that they look very nice.

Yep. Spegel for me. They fit well and just feel good. The deal maker for me was when Fung said I could have my slabs four weeks earlier if I sent mine in as a rush order. Man, I hate that crap about going to the head of the line. Well, unless it's the head of the bathroom Line.
