Anybody familiar with 3rd Generation Shooting Supply??

Do you 3rd Gen customers have to keep visiting the 3rd Gen website daily to visit your account info and see if your order was shipped? Or will 3rdGen send a typical Email notice informing you that it was shipped with the tracking info?

I just finished ordering a bunch of Hornady Bullets from them at a great price 3 days ago. I know all the ammo and reloading web stores are giving notice to be patient as the dealers are overwhelmed. I'd simply like to have a clue how they handle their shipping & tracking, so that I can know what day to beat the porch pirates to my door.

I have ordered from them in past without issue. However, I have not received any notification whatsoever on the order I placed a few days ago. I sent a follow up e-mail but received no reply to that either.

I figure they are just swamped. I did watch the quantity decrease on the items I ordered so I think my order will eventually be processed.

INTJ,
I did get a confirmation Email within a minute or so of placing my order that night. Plus the record of my order is there in the account.
newbieshooter,
I wouldn't doubt if they take a full 1 or 2 weeks to process the order I bought 3 days ago. I wouldn't think of bothering to call any of these small kind of reloading-supply companies right now to ask anything. Any kinds of communication via emails and phones must be a nightmare for them right now. Thanks for that confirmation that I should likely be getting a separate email with tracking. This way I'll know to be on the lookout.

These guys are swamped right now. It's not just coronavirus, it's the extraordinary amount of orders and shipping due to the buying panic among other things. Another large vendor has a daily announcement on their website of what previous day's orders are currently being shipped. They were 11 days behind earlier today. 3rd Generation is good people, just give them a little more time than you ordinarily would. Constant calls and/or emails will only make the problem worse.

Powder Valley posts the daily changes in their shipping schedule to give us a basic idea of where we are in line:

Hopefully this will help keep the nervous nellies off the phone and e-mails asking where their order is.

I've read where some suppliers have taken the phone off the hook (old concept I know...) in order to concentrate on filling orders instead of being overwhelmed with inquiries.

Hopefully we will all have the patience it requires in times like this to allow our suppliers to get their work done.:)

Never had a problem with 3rd Generation. I haven't ordered from them in a while. I really like them showing how many they have in stock. A few years back I ordered some Varget, after placing my order I checked the quantity and it was reduced the amount I ordered. Great shop and yeah I imagine they're a little busy.

I ordered some Redding Comp. Shellholders from Amazon last week and to date haven't even received acknowledgment of the order.

I called them this morning. They had my order processing. I never did get an e-mail reply. but as long as my stuff is coming eventually that's okay. The are swamped beyond belief.

Last week I received my order confirmation immediately. That was when I realized that I had made a mistake on my order. I called immediately and they told me they would fix it. The next day I received an email telling me that my error had been corrected and that my order would ship this week. Hoping for the best, but so far they seem good to go to me.

So I just ordered some primers from them, and again no e-mail. I have an order number and expect to get them. I have my checked Junk folder as well. It could be that comcast is just screening them out.

I found some amazing deals from them in the last couple of weeks like 40 vmax at $7/box of 100. I ordered them and got them. I bet they are swamped. They are good.

Yea, your the guy that alerted me to them and I was saying that I bought 12 boxes of 40vmax too by showing you a photo of a $16.79 receipt for 1 box I bought at Powder Valley. Thanks again.

I just received my tracking notice tonight. Now I know when I can expect the shipment so porch pirates don't beat me to it.

I got a order confirmation immediately after placing my order and got notification of shipment yesterday with an expected delivery date of Friday. At those prices I can only imagine how busy they are.
