Any word on day 1-2 at TSRA mid range championships?

There were many interesting things in FTR that no one mentioned. Randy Littleton had a rifle malfunction in the last match and his rifle was quickly replaced with a competitors rifle and ammo, many volunteered. Leatha Tampke had an ammo issue and promptly was given ammo by Peter Johns that worked quite well. And Peter Johns was having a little issue with his rifle which he shot his last match with Alton Johnsons rifle. There may have been others that I dont know about. What other sport will folks loan you there equipment and then get beat with it. I love this family of shooters and their families.

Competitive shooters are a group like no other as demonstrated by their wiliness to help fellow competitors.

I'm sitting here trying not to spit out my coffee while laughing. Wiliness? Really? I'm pretty sure you meant "willingness". I find it quite amusing that the computer spell-checker changed it to "wiliness", as though there might be some sinister ulterior motive behind helping out a competitor. The computers are becoming more "human" all the time, the singularity is probably approaching rapidly. Most of the time the computer changes and spells something wrong when I'm typing, I find it quite annoying, but this one was worth a good laugh.

Wiliness and willingness both - computers just don't like me and are constantly stabbing me in the back.

Absolutely. I just find it funny when the computer seemingly ascribes human motive. I'm sure it was just because of the similarity in spelling of the two words, but it made me LOL.

Thank you Denys, Joe, Ben, Glenn I had a great time this weekend. It was cool to watch a tight race between Jim Fowler, Doug Skogman and Mark Roberts. They had the Fopen field covered with ease...I was proud of my wife, she shot well considering the conditions...my buddy Mike Allen held his own in a tough crowd of Texas shooters and only his 2-3 time away from home.

I would like the powers that be at Bayou Rifles to reconsider shooting 3 matches and 4 relays on Sunday for future events for us waayy out of towners with long drives home...Not a complaint just a suggestion.

Great shooting by a whole lot of folks down there.

Congrats to Allen and Jim on hanging in there and winning.

WTH was up with Peter and the F-TR guys in the team Match, 799! DAAANG!

Great shooting... Way to go Jason putting that hippie in his place... lol.. JK. Jared shot well as did Otis PJ and Hal...... You guys did fantastic. A lot of top notch shooters in that list..
A bunch of people shot really well. The competition continues to close the gap every match it seems. We’re blessed to have so many great shooters squeezing every bit of accuracy out of their equipment raising the bar higher all the time making us all better. It was a great match that offered every wind condition you can imagine and as stated earlier, many hurdles were overcome in the heat of the battle to keep shooters on the line. Congrats to Allen, Randy, and Ray for the podium finishes. Well done gents.

Congrats to all the junior shooters that came out as well. Some great talent among their ranks.

Congratulations to Allen Tampke and Jim Fowler for their wins! They both shot extremely well through very challenging conditions! I enjoyed shooting with these fellows.

Thank you Ben, Glenn, Denys, Joe, and countless others who gave their time to put this match on. As always, a great championship match!

Also, thanks to Jared for the temporary use of your rifle!

On behalf of Bayou Rifles, Glenn, Ben, and Joe, I thank everyone who came out to play with us and offer my congratulations to the winners:

Jon Rhynard: ANY/IRON
Ken Porter: ANY/SCOPE
David Alden: TACTICAL RIFLE (Rule 23)
Jessie Dunbar: Service Rifle
Jim Fowler: F-Open
Allen Tampke: F-TR

Teams:
Shut Up And Shoot: ANY/ANY RIFLE
METTLE: F-Open
Team Texas: F-TR

We endeavored to make this match as safe, enjoyable and organized as possible. We were cognizant of the fact many of you had long drives home on Sunday so we tried to run the match as quickly as possible. The final "Pits are unsealed!" was declared at 2:40PM, which was pretty quick for 80+ shooters shooting 3 matches on 4 relays.

See you next year.:)
