Any thoughts on AA-2015 powder...

A friend gave me a few jugs of AA-2015 powder. They are still sealed, and he said he had them for a loooong time.

No one talks about 2015 anymore - is it any good?

I am on the last jug of a full case I bought spring of '95. Have shot it in Fireball, 222, 223 and 223AI all with 40-55gr bullets. Have never been disappointed with accuracy or velocity on anything I have ever used it in. Also think it burns cleaner than most others in that burn rate. Wished I had friends like yours!!

Forgot to include that I shoot it exclusively in my 6BR with 30.5gr @ 65Vmax or 30gr @ 70TNT. Within 3/8" same point of impact. Have shot it some with 55gr in a 22BR barrel I have also and it was excellent but without some effort forget the charge weight. RP 7 1/2 primers in everything I have listed.

I had heard that it works good in the 6mm PPC

Best powder I have used in .204.

the first old batch was really good, new stuff not as good as the first stuff. pretty sure the changed the recipe

the first was manufactured in a different plant from the present.

I use the first 8lb to great success and struggled with the later production until I spent time to work loads up again, then it also worked very well.
