Any shooters/F-class/long range in west Texas?

Like the title says... Are there any shooters, f class shoots, long range shoots in west Texas? Alpine areas.... We are moving...

Midland/Odess is your closest. And that might still be a hike

As Greg said, West Texas Long Range club by Midland holds 600 and 1000 F class along with PRS type matches. Also Larry Bart does 1000 BR at El Paso.

I think there are some in San Angelo as well. Not out to 1k, but, out to 500.

If you make it as far as San Angelo then there is a shoot once a month in Winters.

They shoot 1000 there.

Also have some neat side pots.

I think there’s one that’s closest to the x ring cold bore as a side pot

Pardonmy ignorance but is Lubbock considered west TX? my boy is headed to TX Tech on the fall and enjoys fclass. I was hoping there was something close to him

The closest will be West Texas Long Range. Between Stanton and Midland. The range is about 100 miles South of the Hub City. There are matches in Roswell NM also. Not all that close but hell, nothing is close to Lubbock.

Alpine to San Angelo is a short drive by Texas standards. I used to visit a cousin in Kerrville. We'd drive down to Del Rio just to do some bass fishing. When you get to Alpine, see if you can find any restaurants that serve barbecued Dove. Taste of Heaven. I ate 20 of them, one time we were down there.

Roswell Gun Club we shoot F-Class on the 3 Saturday of each month 45 rounds for record 600 yards only, in May we will have a two day match 120 rounds for record, 60.00 entry fee. In October we will hold a Regional Mid-Range two day match 120 rounds for record.

We have shade across the 600 yard line and across the pits and new cantilever targets.

The first Saturday of the month we shoot in Capitain NM, F-Class long range 1000 yards, first Saturday of the month, start times the same as Roswell. Regional in Aug and State Championship in Oct.

Have a Son, Daughter in Law, and a lot of Family graduate from there. I have a Niece, there at this time and will have a Grand Daughter moving there to do her Masters. Lot of BR shooters there, not in the FClass group, but I'll bet a few are around there.
