Ive run 26" ish barrels that have shot well. Depends on where the constriction is for me before cutting to length so I wont let anything else dictate finished length which makes a "xx" length barrel kind of arbitrary. Always wanted to try a 30 but this rabbit hole is behind me now. I have an 18 that shoots very well and have seen a lot of 18-20" that shoot well. Who knows. Your ARA guys would be the people to pay attention to on bbl length.
My personal belief is the longer the barrel the less muzzle blast and a more quiescent release of the bullet. Prolly all mouse farts in the big picture.
As to the original post. I would like to try a 15 or 15.5 twist. Had a 13 and saw no improvement at distance so again probably chasing a problem that doesnt exist. As said over and over the right lot of ammo is the key. Not brand or sub category, the best accuracy is found by lot testing... or luck.
