Any one have a March 2.5x25x52, how do you like it?

I like mine. It's on a Wheeler built 28 Nosler that I used in the first 2000 yard EliteLRC.com competition in 2018. We had forest fire smoke to deal with and I wondered if I would have been better off with a different scope. When I got home I put the March on my scope checker with my NF 5.5x22x50 and my Kahles SMK624 and went out with a tripod in the smoke and looked at several different things at ranges out to about a mile (close to the limit of visibility), and they were too close to call a winner.

The March is very light and also has more MOA travel.

I do not own a 2.5-25X52 scope. I look at them and play around with them at the March booth at SHOT show. They are amazing scopes and I keep thinking to myself that if I were a hunter or just wanted to do some longish distance target shooting and have one scope for a rifle that can do that, this would be the scope. A 10X zoom ratio in a scope of this quality and weighs only a pound and a half, what's not to like. The scope is only 13 inches long. This would fit nicely on a do it all rifle.

They come in 42mm and 52mm objective and I favor the 52 because of the extra light that comes into the scope which helps at higher magnification. My predilection is for high magnification scopes for long range competition, so I do not own one of these. I don't hunt much at all; not enough shooting in hunting.

My favorite SFP reticle from March right now is the MTR-5, which is great for old geezers in competition shooting but for a more general purpose, I would look at the illuminated MTR-3 or 4, or maybe even the MTR-FT. But that's more of a personal choice.
