Any one fly through Minn/St Paul airport?

This is why I don't check my bagage.........

It is interesting that it took so long to catch him and still allow him to continue stealing to catch him. This is why the public is afraid to take anything on the airways ,me included.

And how does this have something to do with shooting, reloading, hunting, gunsmithing, competition, etc...? ???

Lighten up, man. It has a heck of a lot to do with all of those things if you hunt 6 states over or compete at the national level and want your equipment to be there when you arrive. If nothing else, it serves as a warning that maybe it is better to ship your stuff and just fly with a carry-on.

Firearms must be packed in separate cases and scanned as a separate piece of luggage, so authorities can determine when a case containing a weapon is removed from one airplane and placed on another.
WHAT? we are back to this again,So every body who works at the airport knows a bag has a gun in it.
That's why i don't fly any more, last time out of Detroit ,was treated like a criminal cause i had my carry gun in checked baggage.
I walked up to declare a firearm and all hell broke loose.
Every body in the terminal knew about it as the agent went loony.
Any how did not know firearms had to be in there own case and
labeled as such? "steel me"

I've been shipping UPS and we only have a carry on for the ride......

Yeah, that's a perfect solution.

Wait, I almost forgot!

UPS has a rule that we must ship guns at their most expensive Overnight rates.

Why?

Because their own people were stealing guns!! :o

This only applies to handguns, get your info correct please:

http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resources/ship/packaging/guidelines/firearms.html

It's cheaper to ship UPS than to check bags anyway, $25 for the first checked bag, $35 for the second checked bag and

$150 for any additional pieces.......

BigDMT,

It has alot to do with shooting sports, hunting and competitions, many of us have to fly.

True, and that's what I thought I typed (?).

Regardless, don't miss the point that UPS came up with that because their own people were stealing guns. So to use UPS to prevent your guns from being stolen is a false sense of security.

On the occassions that they do deliver, I've had them smash way too many things to ever use them again.
