Any of you name your rifles?

I've been told when them 200gr bullets are launched out of my 18" barreled ,308 Savage 10FP they attack game like a "Pitbull" and my 20 Prac I call "Red Snapper" because when the varmint hears that ballistic crack there's nothing left but a red mist.

Fred Sinclair 'smithed me a groundhog rifle, using a Wichita WBR1375 action, a 24" straight-tube 1.375" .224" cal Hart; in a heavy laminate walnut stock.... chambered in my .22-35Rem wildcat.
The thing weighed 16.75lb. Fred called it " The Pig ".

That name stuck !

My Suhls are Blackie and Goldie since that is their colors.

I havent named the blue/white marbled one. Havent been shooting it either.

Should I sell it??

Ive had some that I called a few names, nothing that I could repeat here. Then I put a new scope on it and all was forgiven.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one that has decided that some rifles just got to have a name! I got a kick out of some of the ways these rifles and pistols have gotten names! ;D

Yes, I have done it also;
My 7mm TCU is called TCU
7mm Merrill is called Merrill
270 Maximum is called Max
10" 223 TC Contender is called "My Big 10 Inch"
Savage Striker 300 WSM is called Wiss'm
and my 257 Roberts AI is simply known as Bob, we are just too familiar to call each other by our formal names

Opps, just noticed, this was for naming rifles and these are all Specialty Pistols. No, I have never named a Rifle, that is just silly kid stuff.

I have a Win D52 that I sometimes call "That @#$%^&^%$##$%^ piece of @#$%^&^%$#$%^& couldn't hit the inside of the @#$%^&*)(&^%#$%."

My friend had a 220 swift that he used for shooting foxes at night.
We called his rifle the light switch because whenever he fired a shot a light would come on in any houses that were nearby.

Sure, this is "The Punisher". Rather tongue in cheek because it's a 13.5 lb 220 Beggs. It recoils maybe 1 inch.

It is another fine job by Mike Ezell

My shooting buddy has 2 rifles painted Chinese colors and a dragon for good luck...My new rifle is called "DRAGUN SLAER" LT

I saw one of those Hornets in a hardware store back about 1957. I sure didnt have any money then. Wouldnt mind finding one now.

My BR Suhls are Goldie and Blackie.. Blackie will probably get painted this winter.
