I live in Southern CT and wondering if anyone can suggest a LR club within a couple of hours driving distance. I am aware of the Forbes club in NY but that is probably 5 hours away.
I belong to one club but the rifle range is 100 yards. Another public range - Blue Trails,The old Lyman range) has recently closed due to homeowner pressures. That was a 200 yard range. It may reopen.
I am also looking to understand the various categories in bench rest - equipment parameters and shooting distances. I went to the NRA web-site and learned some. But I was also interested in learning about light gun and varmint/hunter class which I have read threads about but not the definitions.
