Any love for Meopta Opkita scopes?

Good morning everyone. I have a MeoptaOpkita6 5-30x56 mrad and think the glass is some of the better for the price range you can find these at. Eurooptic has like new scopes for 1k.I have picked up used ones from 650-750. I personally like the push/pull locking elevation turret. If I get my DNT 7-35 back I will compare. Here is a video on them from C_Does

I don't have a Meopta yet.
The model I really wanted is made of unobtanium for the past couple of years.
Was looking for the Optika 5 3-15 with the Z Plus (MOA) reticle.

I may end up with an Optika 6.

I have 2 or 3. One on my match rifLe, and a few on varmint rifles. I really like them - Optika 5 and 6.

One consideration is that they‘Re pretty heavy, so maybe not the best choice if you’re wanting a lightweight hunting rifle, or something to watch if there’s weight limits for your rifle.

Just be aware the index mark on the scope is 'removed' a bit from the hash marks on the turret. If you're shooting from prone, it makes it difficult to see where the index mark is pointing to.

Got a Meopta 4x scope on a Simpsons Husqvarna 46 9.3x57 recently. It has a heavy post recticle and appears to be vey old, but it’s still bright and clear. I like it and would not hesitate buying another one.

They are good enough for Zeiss to have them make their scopes! I have a Optika5 in 4-20x50 as well as an Optika6 1.5-6x, both with my favorite hunting reticle, the BDC-3 Illuminated reticle. It is my favorite reticle, even in the standard BDC without Illumination. very very clean MOA reticle. The illumination version is one of the best for shooting in the dark, even twilight it does go dim enough, most don't.

The adjustments are spot on with either scope, and tracking is spot on. If you want to dial, have it 11 moa will be 11 moa, and back to zero will be right where you left it. As for the glass, well everyone comments on how good the Zeiss glass is, they understand, it's from Meopta, and this shows with Meopta scopes. I replaced the 4-20x50 Optica5 with a new 3-18x44i Leica because I wanted the shorter length and more clearance for lower mounting on a sporting rifle. Even thought the Leica had a 30mm tube and the Optika5 has a 1", it's very hard to see a difference in glass, That's saying a lot, as everyone who has ever had a Leica optic knows, they are great!

I've owned Kahles S&B, Zeiss, NF, Leica, and can assure you, Meopta deserves to be listed along with these scopes, in a league of their own above all others. Durability, function, and optics, and for me the BDC reticle is one of the best. I will be buying and using more!

Not a scope but I have a 10x50 binocular by Meopta. I've compared them sxs with Nikon, Steiner, Leupold. It's great glass. I've used them several times at Camp Perry during the Rattle Battle and can see the trace with them when I could not with Steiner's.

I own 2 of them. One is an Optika 6 2.5-15x44 and the other is a Meostar R2 2.5-15x56. Great scopes, both of them! Built like tanks, and the glass more than holds its own against the next tier up in optics!

I bought a Optika6 3-18x50 for $500. Optics are as acute as my Leupold VX7L.
Only complaint would be how heavy it is, as it weighs more than the Leupold.

I never understood why they didn't get the love some of the others got, as I have the Optika 6 5-30x56 now and have owned a few 5's and other than the weight what not to love. The glass is better than my Nightforce NXS 8-32x56 and just under my Zeiss LRP S3 6-36X56. But at a much much better price. They just seem to fly under everyone radar.

This post is encouraging, i just ordered an optika 6 a couple days ago, i haven't got it yet. I don't know a ton about them, it was between meopta or athlon ares as far as my budget was concerned. As most, I'm not a fan of Chinese scopes. I have a Sightron S3 that it will be replacing. The S3 is absolutely beautiful to look through, if it's near the quality of the Sightron, I'll be happy.

You'll be happy.

When you get the Optika 6, would you let us know if the turrets thread are still showing between the numbers/hash marks on the turret and the indicator that's on the scope itself?

I really like my Sightron SIII 10-50X60 LRTD!

I've always been impressed with the brightness and clarity of the Sightron scopes.

That being said, I always thought they were kind of "clunky" for lack of a better term.

They just don't have the look and feel of my Ziess V4.

Where did you purchase that scope? I am very interested, Thanks
