I realize that to them, hunting is survival, but I sure don't like to see their methods used. Shooting caribou while they are swimming, clubbing ducks and geese when they cant fly, etc.

Butch , thanks for the update . I'm sorry to hear he never made it across the US . I'm awful when it comes to remembering names but I also really liked the Show about the old gentleman who lived in the Olympic National Forest in the State of Washington . What a clever and tough old bird ! Quite the Philosopher too . I remember he kept his valuables "stash" in a waterproof bag in a deep water hole and spent Winter in a big hole beneath a giant tree . He was sure in great shape for an old guy . His protege ( the young lad who wore a Kilt ) was a hoot !

Bob Harte was his name.

Bob Harte was the fellow that died recently with cancer. He was with his buds in the Fairbanks area having a few adult beverages. Bob was a pilot, but I don't think his last plane ever got put back together after the rough landing. My wife loved his husky. Remember him training him not to step in one of his traps. He wrapped the jaws and padded them. The dog couldn't stand it and put his foot in it. Good lesson, it never happened again.
