Any ideas on what these are worth?

Boxes are in excellent condition.

Are they full or empty? Some of them say 79cents....
Unless you find a collector, I doubt they are worth much at all. IMO

I buy such ammo locally when I find it for use in my man cave for display. I usually pay about what a box of new stuff would cost, on avg. More if its something "rare" and less if its something common and not as old.....such as 1980s or later. Ammo is ammo....with older ammo not being as "good" as newer ammo, so you are really paying for the packaging, and the "oldness" unless its truly something rare.

I'd take a box of the super X if they are 22 short. That's what I remember shooting as a kid. We didn't pay the premium for LR. --Jerry

Yes I remember shooting shorts from my uncles 22 German bag gun that he brought home from WWII. Some 50 + years ago . You can see them fly through the air LOL.

My dad convinced all of his coon hunting buddies that shorts were all that was needed to shoot a coon out of a tree and much safer given they flew shorter. We hunted squirrels and rabbits with only shorts. Dad insisted on headshots since we ate all the meat. --Jerry

I too have coon hunted and all we used were shorts. Missed head shots gave a treat to the hounds.
