I have an old BAR .300 win mag that belonged to my grandfather. He was an avid big game hunter and took almost every type of big game species in the US. He has passed away and I would like to continue to use it. I have a very extensive reloading past and this poor gun won't shoot any better than 2-3" on a good day. I borescoped it and it looked like someone's firewood and not a barrel in there ( apparently my grandfather didn't know much about shoot a couple then let it cool). I'm not looking for a bench rifle but something in the 1" area. I've got other rifles that will shoot the tiny groups. I'm just looking for a gunsmith that can rebarrel it. I would like to see this old bird back in action and not collecting dust in the back of the safe.
