Any former Burris scope mechanics out there?

Working on scopes is really not that big of a deal if you are familiar with the internal construction of a particular model.

The big deal is having the tools, usually in the manner of special spanner type wrenches, that are needed to get the things apart.

I just went through this with Burris.

Burris does not offer any service or parts for the older 'Mini/Compact' series scopes that the 6 power Hunter Class scopes are based on.....which is what Pete has that needs work.

Ditto for the later HBR II series. They no longer inventory any parts for them. That includes reticles for changes.

They did return the scope to me with 'No Warranty' stamped on the underside of the turret housing.

They do honor the lifetime warranty by offering a replacement scope. They are pretty flexible on this, too.

Good shootin' :) -Al
