I went pheasant hunting in Kansas around x-mas and found shooting Jacks a lot more fun, But down here in Cen TX jacks are hard to come by so gotta resort to a spot light and 22 for them cotton tails, not bad eating. I hear Jacks are nasty though.

Where are Elco and Winnemucca?

Elko is on I-80 in NE Nevada.Winnemucca is at the junction of Highway 95 and I-80 in NW/Central Nevada.Both are in the top half of the state.Really any where north of Reno to the Utah boarder is full of jacks but the stretch from Winnemucca to Elko is the best bet.Mostly ranch land but its easy to get permission cuz the ranchers want the buggers gone.And if you don't mind a drive the whole eastern side of Wyoming has fur highways.I was there this last summer and we shot 100+ jacks in 2 hrs for 3 of us. Around Casper or Gillette is a good bet.Same as Nevada just ask and you will get plenty of action.Bring lots of ammo.
