Anti seize lube

I also generally use a thread lock on the base screws. Have you ever had a base come loose with the anti seize. TKS
I haven’t, they are always as tight as you left them. I believe it was Greyfox on this forum that suggested the anti seize one time and I have came to like it. The thread locker for me has always just seemed to ball up at the top of the threads, and then there’s the old sayin of locktite use as being a gunsmith’s best customer.

I've used a light rub of Silver colored anti-sieze on barrel threads.
Also on Black Powder nipples, especially on BP Revolvers, otherwise they can be a bear to remove.
The silver colored stuff also works great for spotting in semi inletted replacement rifle stocks, and shotgun butt stocks.

I don't think there is anything better than Molykote P37.

I apply it very thin but I use a new toothbrush.

I hate never sieze..it just never goes away!
Use it and keep trying to get it off days later.
Then it always shows back up lol

I’ve always been told to use anti seize when threading a barrel on. I’d like to not use it as it’s such a pain to clean off.

Is there a consensus on which lube to use?
