Anti seize lube

Agree with other posters...not a fan of metal particles being in my grease except for hi-temp environments that burn the grease away and leave behind an aluminum or copper coating on parts that might otherwise rust. Anti-sieze has its place but I really can't think of where that is on a gun unless a suppressor on a full auto rifle.

Totally agree with you and Butch. I know guys who lube their bolt lugs with anti seeze. Not me, I would never want a lube with metal particals anywhere near the bore of my barrel.

I've had a suppressor for 11 years now, and never once needed anything on the threads.

Imo, 99.9% of problems that arise from suppressor threads are caused by a bad barrel threading job.

I take the suppressor with me to have a barrel threaded. The gunsmith can hand fit it that way.

I’ve been using pro shot gold for a few years. Before that, it was caterpillar grease.

Pro Shot gold is one of those items you’ll lose before you deplete.

In all the decades that I've used suppressor's, I've never put anything on the barrel threads. I do use anti-seize on the suppressor end caps that are on my serviceable suppressor's. It keeps the end caps from getting carbon locked on the tube.

I use nothing on my suppressor threads. The only folks that I knew that used some sort of anti-seize or grease on their suppressor threads ended up sending their cans down-range, so they don't do it anymore either.

As for my barrels, I use Permatex 77124 (Nickel Anti-Seize). For those worried about having metal in there, the particles are not anywhere close to being big enough to worry about. The one with copper in it can react with SS, and regular grease will end up deteriorating due to the heat and pressure that it will undergo.

i like lucas red and tacky high pressure grease a little goes a long way it has antiseize properties but no metals great stuff

The only thing I use nickle anti seize on is choke tubes on shotguns. Mobile one on lugs. Thinking about getting some hobo oil after some reviews from members on here.
