anti-bind slot in rem 700 bolt

Hello i have a rem 722 bolt i want to use in a rem 700 action, the prob is the old 722 bolt has no anti bind slot .
so how much would gunsmith charge to do this slot for me so i could use this bolt in my action ]]

thanks

If you are handy you could rough it in with a dremel tool and finish it up with jeweler's files. I am very happy that my Remington is old enough to not have the anti-bind sales feature.

That is a very small groove to be cutting with a Dremel tool, get it done right with a milling machine.
It shouldn't cost more than $30.00 tops.....

Ok thanks alot
i thought the 722 bolt would slide in but the rem 700 im not used to ive owned a few and never payed any attention to this, i usually have rifles done on old rem 600 actions or xp-100's
and rem m7's and of course the old rem 722 and the 721 actions

i do love those older actions

thanks again
chris
