I am numb from tring to figure what these are made to shoot in. 70 grain SP .227" diameter. PLease enlighten me.

I was helping a buddy decide what bullet to run in a Savage 9" twist in 223 and saw this bullet, it is a shame it is not the typical .224" diameter, it was worrying the bejeebers out of me. I never heard of a Savage Hi Power. Thanks so much for the help.

I've got a P.O. Ackley built 228 Ackley Magnum that will shoot that bullet. Sisk also made them for awhile and they will actually hold up to the velocities better than the Hornady. That Hornady bullet was actually made for the 22 Savage Highpower to be used at lower speeds than the Ackley chambering. I mainly shoot the Sisk's out of my rifle.
