Anschutz match 54 stock build

Yep, 1.5" thick, 5' wide, and 14' long. We had it custom made to build chassis on.

That chassis/car looks great. I have a street/strip 69 Dart that I've done some bracket racing with and run some heads up street car shoot out type stuff with. It's ran 6.40 at almost 109 with a pump gas stroked small block at 3350 pounds, it will run down in the .30's. The converter isn't right yet so I'm still working on it.

That's great. We see how you put the wood together. How did you shape and inlet the stock?...Tom
First I true up the blank on a jointer plainer. Then it goes to the bridge port mill to cut the barrel channel, trigger inlet, drill for pillars, and trim the sides of the forend down to a little under 3" all in 1 holding. I also remove some wood around action area to make room for bedding, 1/8 on the bottom and 1/16 on the sides and fit the rear tang in this holding. If I didn't have a mill I'd make jigs and use a router for this. For profiling I use a planer, band saw, table saw, pedestal belt sander, and a variety of block sanders. The last thing I do during the final sanding is do a full mockup with the barreled action and scope to check tracking. Sometimes it takes a little extra sanding in the toe area to get it to track perfectly. Then it's off to finish.

I took the wife out for her 2nd rimfire BR 101 session and so far she loves it. Looks like I better double the budget for rimfire ammo this year. Lol!20200222_111117_resized.jpg 20200222_110549_resized.jpg 20200223_175117_resized.jpg
