Anschutz & Karl Kenyon?

I have an Anschutz 54 action rifle that I am told Karl Kenyon fitted with an Atkinson barrel
mounted in a composite prone style stock.
(Kenyon is stamped on the top of the barrel just forward of the receiver)
It does not have a Kenyon trigger, just the Anschutz 2 stage set to under 2 oz.
I use the rifle in my clubs prone matches & does a good job with Lapua match ammo.
I want to learn about how common such a rifle is and if there is any special care, other
than normal cleaning and rust prevention.

Karl built MANY rifles over the years, I had him fit a Schneider barrel to a 1913 for me back in 1999. That rifle combo was superb, took me to master and I won MANY prone regionals. Made a couple dewar teams with it, etc.

Karl liked Pat McMillan barrels best, but Gary Schneider was trained under Pat and was what he used after McMillan stopped making barrels. He fit other types too depending on what the customer wanted.

You have a somewhat rare item, but not really a collector. Anyone who would want to purchase to use as a competition piece would want to shoot it to verify the barrel is still top notch.

Congrats on the cool rifle.

Kenyon made very high quality rifles.

I have an Old Model 70 Target Master that he fit one of his triggers to. A nice 2-stage 1 3/8ths ounce one.
Rumor has it that Timney is trying to work a deal to build them today.

I also have a .22 Rimfire Anschutz rifle that has Karl Kenyon's name on the trigger and barrel, I don't know much about the rifle, I don't even know the model #. Rifle was made 1968-69, Tried to post pic. to large.
