Anschutz help needed

New guy, to forum and shooting.....years ago I bought a rifle from Carl at Champion Shooter's supply. Yes I know it is closed...I have driven over to see if Freedom is operating yet. It has been closed. Anyone have a contact?

I need the rifle looked at it....I dug it out a few days ago and sent a few rounds down range ( @ Elite), near the Camp Rd Shooter's Supply.

Cleaning the rifle today and I cannot get the bolt back in.

Make sure that it is cocked or uncocked it will only go in one way.

I bet the bolt is uncocked, hold the bolt body in your hand and turn the bolt to the left or up. Should go in then. Another possible problem could be you ran the action bolts in too far and they are interfering with the bolt, loosen the action screws and try that.

Any gunsmith can help you if you cant get it. You dont need the guy that sold it to you. If you post a picture of the underside of the bolt i bet we can save you a trip

As above, make eure the bolt is cooked; the pin at the back should stick out. When you put the bolt back in, make sure it's right way up, and rhe claws are level, or it will catch on the loading tray.

You may also need to lower the cheekpiece. A lot of older Anschutz rifles have a little nick where the firing pin bent scraped the wood going in or out.
