Anschutz 54 Match action value

I have a nice take off 1811 stock and was offered a Match 54 barreled action that fits perfectly. Action is from 1978 and close to 98%. No issues except trigger is missing safety. Was told owner wanted $1800 and for me way too high and was thinking about $1100-1200 tops. Wanted a doner to cut back and thread for suppressor. Or maybe use as is. Is it worth it?

$1000 more or less, be aware if you’re planning on a chop, a lot of that accuracy is in the thick section at the end of the barrel.

Use as is! 1000/1200 I have seen complete rifles for $1800

FYI, if that action is a 1978 then it is the transition action 1600 series, is there an X at the end of the serial number? if so then that confirms it. nothing wrong with a 1600, but parts are nearly impossible to get, with exception of firing pin springs from Wolff

Yes it has X after serial number and yes it is different than other 54’s I have. Extractors for sure and single feed platform. May pass on this.

Way to much money. I have bought complete Anschutz rifles for less then 1200 - 1300 1813 or 1913 supermatch models used.

Decided not to buy into this project but will install in my 1811 stock and see how it
shoots. As 1600 barreled action is in excellent shape great bore as I checked with my borescope. I just got a Annie Featherweight from 1989 in as new condition for my shooter. A friend had 3 of them.
