Anschutz 54.18

The Anschutz 54.18 MSR Walnut stock, not thumb hole model) is "discontinued" but I have an opportunity to purchase one made in 2006 that is in "Like New" condition"

What is a fair price? what alternatives in this price range should I consider if any.

I would probably use the gun for Silo and BR shooting.

Thanks for your assistance

Jack

Great choice for metallic silhouette, and they are getting harder to come by. Is this a repeater or a single shot? That will make a big difference in value because the repeaters are in higher demand by the silhouette guys.

I've seen 54.18s, without scope, go for anywhere from $750 to $1300 depending on condition.

It's a reapeater in Like new condition, manufactured in 2006 based on barrel stamp.

Hummm. I thought that they were more expensive...cool!

The 5418 is the premier Annie rifle IMHO. Although i believe it's way overkill as far as NEED for strength, it is still one of the finest rimfire rifles ever made.
I'm currently looking for a NON thumbhole stock for mine, so if you buy it and really want a thumbhole stock I'd trade you.
All that aside, if you're careful you can get a deal on them. I've seen them go from a low of $1000 for bare gun in great condition, to,,hold on to your hat) $2200 on one of the Annie dealer websites for a used one. So, it all gets down to what you want and are willing to pay. Me personally, I'd have to have between $1300-$1500 to part with mine, depending on what I was looking to replace it with, which would be hard.
I almost did put it up for sale to finance a Suhl bench gun, but eeked by without having to sell it.

I picked up a LH 54MS for $525 last yr!!! I couldnt believe it. I think they must have thought it was an old 54 match. Its in excellent condition. I was lucky. A 54MS is hard anough to find let alone a lefty. It shoots pretty well. Ill have to try it out next too my 1813L. Great rifle hope you can pick it up.

Man, I've been looking for a 54MS left handed for about 15 years, nice grab. Let me know if you ever want to sell it

Sorry bro but Ill never sell that one. I just put the action into my 1813L stock to save some weight. My wrist has been killing me in prone. Good luck on your hunt.

I`ve got a new take off 54.18 stock if ya know anyone looking for one..It`s right hand, for a single shot, with trigger guard..Thanks... Oh,its a non thumbhole stock..
