Haven't seen this mentioned, hope it's of some use.
Discovered new Winchester brass can be run through this die right out of the bag yielding neck mouths without the outside burr that's so hard to get rid of otherwise. Dented neck mouths are easily ironed out depending on the mechanical advantage of the press used; I used a Co-Ax. Lapua brass isn't nearly as amenable to this treatment but then it doesn't need it as far as I can tell.
I first tumbled most of the cases, which helps quite a bit itself, and then chamfered inside and out with a rocket tool. With the right amount of pressure and a smoothed out die there aren't any collet marks. The outside chamfer is ironed out and should be redone, as well as the inside chamfer, prior to full length sizing.
The build-up of brass at the neck/shoulder junction in the full length sizing die should be considerably reduced saving time cleaning and reducing the chance of scratches over time. There's not a lot of cold working and concentricity is probably improved although I couldn't really get a good measurement before running a case through the collet die so this is just a guess.
FWIW,
Pete
