No telling how many primers were seated with it, many thousands for sure. Had one a few years back break the same way. I am down to two new spare bodies and numerous parts. Have two complete tools used every day. Bought my first ones when they were introduced at $10.- $12. each. Lee Auto Prime

I had the same problem, several times, with an RCBS hand primer. To their credit, they replaced the defective one each time at no charge.

After repeated failures, about 25 years ago or so, I "bit the bullet" and purchased a Sinclair Hand Priming Tool. It was quite expensive. I have literally primed thousands upon thousands of both rifle and pistol cartridges with this tool and seems indestructible. Best investment I ever made.

Yep I have worn a few of those out over the years myself. Moved onto the Bald Eagle bench primer and have worn two of those out too. My last one is on it's last leg and then on to something else.

I broke my Lee twice. I bought a Frankfort Arsenal. This was 7-8 years ago so it was the old version. It worked OK for a while but then it wouldn’t fully seat a primer. I pulled it apart and tried a few fixes but it just wasn’t right. Some research revealed my experience wasn’t uncommon but the “new” units were better. I bought one and it works great. I use my old Lee shell holders in it because the Lee are machined better.

I'm in the broke two of them myself group. Moved on to the RCBS and untold thousands of primers later now use the Derraco PCPS tool to save my arthritic hands from cramping up....

Used the lee for years.
Finally broke one and then the second one.
Bought the new version that's like a two stage supposed to be more safe.
Didn't like it. At all
Now a days 21 century for match rounds.
Frankfort arsenal for everything else...

21st Century used to make a replacement body for the LEE primer trays. They are excellent. Wish they still made them. I have one, wish I had 3!
I have 2 wish I had 3. John makes nice stuff I wish he hadn’t discontinued these. I do like his single feed ones as well but these are hard to beat!

I have one that I picked up in 1977 still going strong it's safe to say I have seated 100's of thousands of primers with it
