Hello,

Looks like a great group here and I hope to learn more from you all. I'm a full-time RVer traveling across this great country of ours. I'm currently at Eagle River, Wisconsin. I wouldn't dare think of leaving any of my guns behind in storage. I tow a 41 foot fifth wheel toy hauler and I created and installed a reloading bench in the toy hauler's garage. I'll upload some pictures of it soon. I recently replaced the barrel on my 22-250 Rem. I started out with 75 grain bullets and now I'm getting ready to work up some loads with the Berger 80 grain VLD. The best 5 shot group I've gotten with 75 gn Berger VLDs is .121.

My motto is: "There always room for improvement."

Welcome Dave. Can't wait for photo's of you set up. What is the twist on your 22-250? I just had a very old Remington 788 (first gun I reloaded for in 1970). Put a 1 in 7.7 Kreiger. What is your load info? I have been shooting the 75 grain VLD's in my 22 BR with great results over 28 1/2 grains of Varget. Regards Jim

Welcome to the best forum on the internet. While you are travelin you should hit up some of the gunshops. I have done that before and it is alot of fun to window shop.

I posted some pictures in a new thread.

Oh yes. I enjoy doing that. I also like to stop at all the Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops. I recently spent the night at the Cabela's parking lot in Hammond, IN.

For the Berger 75 gn VLD I'm currently using 36.5 grains of H414 and set the bullet .004 off the lands.

I started working up the Berger 80 gn VLD last Friday. I shot 79 rounds over a 8 hour period. It was a frustrating day. I got down to my last 3 pieces of new brass and finally got a decent .201 group. I prepped the brass yesterday and I'll go back out this week to fine tune it.
