I can almost taste the squirrel gravy and biscuits. I hope to get to do some squirrel hunting latter this year. I got a deal, $154 out the door, on a new 14" T/C Contender pistol barrel in 22 LR with a match chamber a few weeks ago and took it to the range last Friday. It is a shooter. Tried 7 different ammos and 5 shots groups with 6 brands would stay inside a 1/2" dot at 50 yards and the other brand was just a hair outside 1/2". I believe with a good rest it would be hard to miss a squirrel's head at 100 yards. I have a Weaver 2.5-8X28 handgun scope on this barrel.
