Another Bushing Question

I have purchased a bushing die for a 6x47L, my question is: can I order bushings for a 6.5x47L and 6x47L and use the same die for both? I know the bushings only size the neck, so please no remarks about how the die operates, I get it. The cases are the same, and I "assume" the shoulder is the same, just a smaller neck diameter between the 6&6.5. Simple yea/NA is all I need, thanks.

I have a 6-284 FL bushing die from Redding and was planning the same as you only 6.5-284. On my die, the the inside (under the bushing) is too small to all a 6.5 neck to go through. I suppose some could be removed to allow it to clear. In my case anyway I should have gone with a 6.5-284 die and then all would have been good.

If the body of the cartridges are the same like the 6br and such,then I would say yes.

Jason, that helps, thanks, will have to give it a try to really know. Jon, thanks for the info short and sweet. Fd thanks that helps loads! All I will need now is a seat die for the 6.5, I hope.

Glenn: Yes, same neck bushing FL die body. I used a Redding die for both 6BR & 22BR & just changed bushings for whichever I was loading for.

I did have to buy a 22BR FL sizer die to reduce the 6BR brass to a 22 cal. neck diameter though. The first attempt at reducing the case necks destroyed the new Lapua brass with a case neck that folded down like an accordian. Once the necks were reduced with the FL sizer, used the same die body, but changed bushings for the caliber being loaded.
