Another black eye for gun owners

It was probably one of those super dangerous remington 700 triggers I’ve been hearing about. If that safety only worked this never would have happened. I’m sure the neighbor will be suing soon since he’s the real victim.

He was living in an apartment building, not that it by itself is any issue but even more care would be prudent. I had a buddy that got kicked out of his apartment years ago because he was a reloader and they did an inspection and found his reloading setup.

This is more of the twisted media telling the world that no gun is safe and all of them must be confiscated because we must save the children. The article states that nationwide there has been 246 UNINTENTIONAL shootings of children in 2020 and that is sad. Children are classified as being under 18yo.
However, the article fails to bring up the fact that 246 is about the same number of INTENTIONAL shootings in some large cities over a 4 day weekend. The liberal media is working overtime.

This is a statistic from Baltimore from 2019.

For one year, 11 News anchor Deborah Weiner tracked the juvenile homicide rate in Baltimore City: 22 children, ranging in age from 2 months to 17 years, were killed in 2019 -- the highest number since the civil unrest of 2015. Of these cases, 16 died of gunshot wounds and six from child abuse.

We also had about 350 total homicides in the same year. Presently here are over 300 for this year. I am so glade I moved out of the city over 20 years ago.

This is why I titled it "Another black eye for gun owners" but in the first sentence mention "negligent gun owner" because the gun had nothing to do with it but you can bet the media will go another way with it if the story continues. I'm about 60 miles from Columbus but there was a huge bunch of turmoil going on there earlier this year with the riots and people buying guns like mad. I rode my motorcycle up to SE Columbus to a huge Vance outdoors store for reloading stuff and there was line of at least 80 people in the "new gun" purchase line.

There is an old saying, Triggers don't pull themselves.
