Just walked from the dining room to the kitchen and, son of a gun, spotted another ghog nibbling the grass in the backyard. The bugger must be occupying the burrow under the deck where I've already shot three so far this year.
Went to the bedroom window sniping location and got the Marlin Microgroove Model 25 in 22 LR ready. The nibbler was so intent on eating it didn't see the blinds or the window go up, or the gun get into place. By the time I was ready to shoot it had moved up towards some rocks and was facing away from me. I let it have it in the back of the head. It was flailing all over as you can see from the blood splatter on the grass where it rolled and expired.
Looks like one of this year's litter. Wonder how many others there are from the same litter? I'm ready.
Figured I'd prop him up so he could get one last look of the property before the buzzards find him.
