another annealing ??

some annealing is done with one tourch and the case being turned. i see some having 2 tourches, one on each side and the case not moving. will the two tourch , no turning work as well , good too get the annealing even ?

Spining the case will be the best result almost 100% Symmetrical. using two torches 180 deg apart from each other will do a GOOD job but not 100% maybe 85%-90%.

any one else anneal with 2 torches and fixed case? i am working on spining the case to where i can move it to the flame , time it, and move out , the exact way and place each time. i have used a drill hand holding it the exact way each time was off a little i am sure. i am thinking on some type of cradel to hold the drill . thanks for any help.

Might try this set up for repeatability. I use digital timer set 4 sec, when drill hits stop start when beeps pull out drill is total of 5 sec. Flame tip is barely touching case, temp. is 750/775 for readings. Also if you can keep case run out down is better, hope this helps for you.

I bought some new Lapau .243 cases and they had the annealing marks on them and I was able to duplicate this with one propane torch in a darkened room while turning the cases by hand and counting, then dropping them into a pan of water. I looked for a dull cherry red colour.
