Annyone have the Innovative Technologies Bore Scope?

Wondering if anyone has this and how it compares to higher priced scopes. I'm thinking about getting a scope and this sure is a good price point. Thanks.

I talked to the man, The picture is of a barrel that is clean. He said that it does show in coler. The picture is deceiving

I was looking at one of these a while back.
40" cable and a fair price. Seems to be a good buy for the $$$

This looks good to me also. The question I have is why it states on the website, can be used on .20 to .30 caliber barrels. I can understand the why you would be limited on smaller calibers but not on the larger ones. Anyone have any idea why?

theiskell: Just guessing, I don't know, but if it's non-focusing you may not be able to get a clear picture of the bore with the larger calibers. A benefit of my Hawkeye, focus can be adjusted for any bore diameter.

Good answer! I had not thought of a need to focus at that small of a distance, but it does make sense.

I'd like to see someone compare to a Hawkeye.

I have a less expensive version of the same kind of scope.

Compared to mine, I'd like to be able to get that downward angle look on the barrel that the Hawkeye to be able to see better.

drgunlimited: Don't know where you got the $1000+- number, but I paid $620 delivered ( about the cost of a "good" quality rifle scope) for each of the two I bought from Lester Bruno. They are both the 17" Deluxe focusing with the hard case. They more than meet the needs of my son & I.

I purchased a Hawkeye kit several weeks ago for $695 plus shipping from Bruno's, $719 total. It has a 0 degree and a 90 degree focused view which is clear and bright.

The Innovative Technologies scope, which I tried before the Hawkeye, only possessed a 0 degree view and didn't have the clarity or brightness of the Hawkeye. It's the same old story: You get what you pay for. Don't expect a $300 scope to possess the same features, clarity and brightness of a $700 scope.

They each have strong points , the innovative tech can be taken to the range or gun show safely , the hawkeye ,is a glass rod ,which is fragile . I have both ,kinda , I tried a friends Innovative Tech , and found a better unit on amazon for less than $200 . The hawkeye is MUCH more useful in the shop its 25x versus 3-5x .The inspection (digital ) scope from amazon has a 23 cal flexible 39 " camera head. Its made by Autel and is able to link to computer , take video and still pictures ,store on a mem stick . So far its at least $200 useful.
I can check crowns , copper fouling , cond of lead , and it comes with a 90 degree mirror . I would consider recommending others to check it out.
It will fit 24 cal and larger.

Ggmac: I also have the Hawkeye borescope. Mine is the 17" deluxe focusing, my second one, gave the first to my son. "is a glass rod, which is fragile", I'm not understanding. My Hawkeye has 2 stainless rods, one fitting inside the other, the only glass being the mirrored lens's at the forward tip of the stainless rods.

With reasonable care in handling, the entire unit is anything but "fragile", in my opinion.

I agree. There is nothing fragile about Hawkeye's stainless rods.
