Annealers

I know that my first choice for the best annealing machine would be a Benchsource.
But raising grandchildren with out of work son won't allow it right now.
I 've read some pretty good reviews on a ANNEALEZ.
I trust you guys, so does anybody have any experience with this unit?
Right now it's more inline with a retirement budget. I do have unlimited access with a Benchsource thru my,buddy one shot one thrill but I want my own.

Type annealeez into the search box above. Dozens of threads that will give you the info you need to make your decision. I haven't heard of anyone disappointed. Having fiddled with both the benchsource and annealeez, I can assure you they will both do a great job. The Annealeez is half the price and benchsoure is better quality. You pick which is more important to you.

I have an Annealeze and it does what I ask it to do, hold a case in the same position relative to the flame for the same amount of time every time.

Your brass needs to be clean so the drive wheels have traction on them and they can slip out of adjustment. They appear to slip if they encounter resistance but are easily reset to the proper timing.

When I get my shop built at my home in SD and set up another reloading room there I'll buy another Annealeze for there also.

Tony, I had an Annealeeze but sold it after I bought an AMP (two different beasts). The issues I had with the Annealeez was 1) if I loaded more than about 50cases in the hopper it woul occaisionally 'jam' where it would continue to spin the wheels without dropping a case into the slot in the feed wheel. A small modification of the feed hooper rail on the left side would have cured it. 2) The bracket holding the torch made setting the flame position cumbersome and was prone to moving if the fuel hose was bumped (a gimballed fix was posted online that would have cost less than $15 and 45min to install) 3) the small disposable cannisters used as a fuel supply/ the cheap regulator and fuel adjustment valve lead to difficulty in finely adjusting the flame tip and keeping it in adjustment as the fuel in the cannister burns off and the pressure changes. (this can be fixed with a better regulator, needle valve and a larger refillable propane cylinder.

All of these fixes could be done easily and probably with less than a $50-75 cost with little skill or time required. Thes changes would put the unit in the class of more expensive hopper feed units and make the annealing more consistent. I found myself only annealing 100-120 cases at a time (mostly about 70 at a time) and the single feed AMP unit worked for me and gave me the consistent anneal I desired....at a much greater cost than remediating the Annealeeze. If money was a big issue the 'remediated' Annealeez is an excellent buy IMO.

I've responded over on the WTB/WTS section about a Annealer that I use and love to run. It's the MRB Annealer which is priced reasonably and functions without a hitch. Oh, and BTW, this Annealer has a no BS warranty which is what sold me on the unit. It's a complete unit, unlike the Annealeez which requires "extras" to run short and long brass, and at additional cost.
Give it a look, I think you'll be impressed with the quality and performance.

I've also have the same annealer. After 3 months I can see no reason to get rid of it!!

Cost vary from around a hundred bucks to a hundred and a half. You'll need access to a table top drill press and other ordinary hand tools. A few minutes on a table saw is a bonus, but not necessary. It works as well as any and better than many commercial units.

You can build like above for less than 100$. Will not look the one above but it will get the job done.
