i currently have a annealeez gen 3 and its worked im just curious if it is honestly beneficial to go to the amp. is it really worth the 1300 extra it cost honestly. not just that what i use and its the best comments. i hear guys say it depends what ur time is worth. well the amp aint any faster do to having to load each case unless you spend another 500 for automatic setup. i usually load my hoper and let it go and do other stuff while it does its thing. just curious on some other opinions on this. thanks in advance

I moved from an Annealeez to an Amp. I usually flame annealed longer than many, 10-12 seconds for my setup. I haven't noticed much difference in ES/SD since I made the switch. Shoulder bump seems just as consistent too.

What I have noticed is the "sticky" feel of brass in the die, after flame annealing, doesn't happen with the AMP. The oxidation layer must be different. So, I can go from anneal to sizing, skipping the tumble.

i have noticed that with the sticky in the die at dies. i guess thats from the flame. so you tumbled after you annealed? for how long? im assuming after that then u sized

I always clean that oxidation layer off the outside before sizing my brass. Since I only do ~100 cases at a time, I simply clean the necks with steel wool before sizing. If I had an AMP, I'd still do that. . . though it would probably be a little easier since there wouldn't be as much of an oxidation layer.

I had an Annealeze for a few years and sold it and bought an Amp and couldn’t be happier! If the money isn’t an issue do it.
