First shoot of the season and it was cold, windy, switchy, raining when we arrived and still raining when we left. We hosted 25 shooters with 230.00 payed out in prize money. It was a typical first match. The golf cart had a flat tire which Dave Shall who runs our targets quickly fixed. Then in warm ups we lost 2 shooters with equipment problems. After that things went well in a very tightly contested match. The first 4 Custom Class shooters where within 3 points. With a perfect score on the fourth and last target, a 66, Kevin Dufford took home $90.00 by compiling a score of 258. With a fine 257 Bob Horton took home $50.00 for sceond. Steve Kafanas 256 tied Stu Smiths 256. Third was decided by the shooter who dropped the first point which was Steve leaving Stu to garner 40.00 for third. We had 2 shooters brave the weather to shoot .22 rimfire and 2 factory class shooters to round out the field. We had a healthy diet of coffee, cupcakes and cookies. Vegans need not apply, lol. Hope to see you all June 1st for UBR 200 yards. Remember the Tackdriver Lite match the end of July, there are still a few open spots. Thanks to Dave Shaw and also Frank Carrier who called the line. Without good helpers there would be no shoot, I appreciate their efforts. Thanks to all that attended on an ugly day, it was nice to see everyone after a long winter. We have a good, friendly group. Join us.
