Anderson Crk 300yd UBR Results

It was the last UBR match of this season. We were conflicted with the first day of Pa. Archery Season with about half our normal turnout. But the 14 who attended had an interesting time with the top of the mountain winds. As usual several shooters figured it out. We had our best year yet for UBR with some new shooters becoming regulars. Don't forget the winter shoots starting in January, stay tuned for dates. Good luck to several of our regulars who are headed South for the Tack Driver. Results and pic. Jeremiah Keefe, Frank Carrier, Caz Silvis, Tom Hamilton, Delmas Burkett
Custom First Jeremiah Keefe
Second Frank Carrier
Third Delmas Burkett
Factory First Caz Silvis
Second Tom Hamilton 20241005_211837.jpg

Good to see Tom back on the bench !! Now that his healing
has come along, it's proof he can get back into walking and
chewing bubble gum at the same time. Way to go Tom !!

So what was Keefe shooting ?? Or is that another secret sauce
recipe for Orangeburg ?? That was a full 4 point advantage in
them conditions ?? Way to go Jeremiah !!

And Jeff ?? A big thanks from me to keep these UBR shoots
going and to Naomi for putting up with ya'....LOL I should
be back in the saddle by next spring......

Fuj......

You gotta get back up on the horse Fuj and ride. We miss you. It was a good year for the UBR matches at Anderson Creek. As long as everyone continues to support the new march director, Steve Strouse, next year it will continue sucessfully. Its up to the shooters. Now as far as Tom Hamilton, that old guy is smarter than he looks and a hard worker.

I was validating the gun I will be taking down south to the Tack Driver V. The gun proved that it will shoot as long as the guy behind it points it in the right direction. The sun angle, mirage, and wind made it a little difficult to see holes yesterday, but that’s why we like Anderson Creek. It always keeps us guessing.

Gun was a 6BR, 12 twist Krieger, 68 Bart Avenger. Barrel has just over 800 rounds on it now. Here’s the targets for reference

Just as a note of interest since targets are getting looked at. I score using a 10x lighted loupe. Its quite evident if the bullet touch the line or not. Plugs, overlays, whatever are all subject to placement, the loop show the truth without the hole being disturbed. I learned this from watching .177 pellet gun targets being scored.
