Any road construction out that way that will present itself in the area of the range? Any tips ( landmarks etc. ) to keep in mind to make finding the place a bit easier for us Flintstones that don't run a GPS or iPhone......Thanks

ps: I don't get out much...........LOL

Regards
Rick

If I put 976 Viaduct road into Google Maps, it defaults to Grampian vs Rockton with different zip codes. For GPS address input, which is it?

On Rt.219 are you traveling north or south ?? A few miles north
of Grampian is the village of Chestnut Grove where Viaduct Road
is located. If traveling south thru Chestnut Grove and you see an
old white church on the west side of the road you missed Viaduct
road that is on the east side. Once on Viaduct, just follow it and you
will see a Penn Dot type work station on your left. The range is just
passed that point on your right with the sign in front that Jeff posted.

The other way in on Viaduct, I have no clue.....

Rick.....I was just thinking if you were heading thru Grampian
first ?? At Grampian, head north on 219 and in just a few miles
you'll be at a hill top with a strip mine on your right. There usually
is a few pieces of equipment there to see. Just a bit futher will be
that white church on your left. Just a bit further down the hill is
Viaduct road on your right. I know these land marks well since
I've missed Viaduct many times in the past. The road sign is
turned on a weird angle and easy to miss.

Great Idea Jeremiah! I hope you all have a wonderful match with calm winds. I will see many of you in November!

Jeff.....Could not the indoor bench's be used for loading purposes ??
The tractor/mower shed could work if not designated already.

Saturday's current forecast window.....Winds averaging 7-11 mph.
But no guarantees on the wind on top the mountain. It does like
to switch. Hopefully the dew will blow off early and not contribute
to any mirage.....

I think the mower shed will be open, no lights and small. Indoor benches will be utilized with food I was told. There will be no one in the front room but scorers or the kitchen lower level will be food and eating area. When I shot and loaded I always took an easy up and a table to load and cleaning on. Still have it all but came to realize on the spot loaded not necessary for me. The picnic tables at the range can be used for loading if you claim a spot or the endgate on a pickup. Best to be prepared, most are.

There are several benches out in front of the back of the club used for 50 yards on the 100/200 yard range that could be used to load on. There is a picnic table at the outdoor grill but I think that is for folks to eat at. I have not been part of the overall planning, just relating a few things Hammy told be over the phone. Naomi is making desserts and I am measuring groups, and hoping to shoot well. More than enough for old folks, lol.

I think at last years TDL, the equipment under the shooters pavilion was
moved out and a few tables were hauled over for that space.

Grandson Zach will be spending the night at my place, and we'll get on
the road early. Between mounting and pulling targets to stapling and
pulling staples, just show him where he's needed. Maybe pick up a few
Boy Scout points for tending to old people.....LOL

Backside of clubhouse 50 yard benches. This would be a great spot away from the firing line.
