ANDERSON CREEK JANUARY 200 YD RESULTS

It was a clear balmy 16 degrees when I drove in the lane to Anderson Creek Sportsmen. Wind was not crazy but very very switchy. A common theme I heard as shooters came off the line was "I got caught". We had 22 shooters including Fuj who came clear from Erie and Pat Collins from near Pittsburg. We had 3 female shooters. They certainly represented well. All 3 were in the money. Next match February 13 at 11 am, first relay to the line.
CUSTOM 1st Jeff Roebuck 198 2x X 200
2nd Jim Waltenbaugh 197 3x X 200
3rd Gwen Bacilla 196 5x X 200
FACTORY 1st Gina Kunselman
2nd Kyle Bloom
3rd Jason Bloom
GROUP Shelly Brennan .565
Thanks to the 22 competitors for coming out. Yes, they cleaned out Toms big pot of chili. Going out the gate heading home it was a sweltering 31 degrees.

Yeah, that's a good 3 hour hike on the interstates. I need
to leave Erie a bit earlier. I signed up 20 minutes after the
match started, and put me on relay 6. Relay 6 was fun !!
I got to shoot under the lights !!.....LOL I went home with
a 182-1x . Shooting a 49 on my first target, then went south
from there.....LOL I did leave my ammo out in the cold all day
testing Reloder 16. Happy with those powder test results. Shot
my SA284, so that's officially blooded, and will continue to test
and tune it......A few tweeks on my chassis test rifle, and mainly
in the butt region, and a better bag, I'll move up. I'm not one for
excuses but I'm glad I left that accu trigger at 20 ounces !! Any
lower and my chattering teeth would have set it off when I did
not want it to !! I'll be back......

Fuj

What an amazing turnout. The coldest temp when I showed for a match was 18° -- there were only three shooters and the match was canceled.

LOL, we use to not start until 8 pm. I often left for home, hour and a half away, close 1 in the morning 4 or 5 below zero.No snowflakes in our group.

Like I mentioned; February's match will be determined by
the weather. It can get real stupid up here on the shore.
And I may have a rifle still together. I ordered in 100 of those
newly released 166gr 7mm A-tips and Fedex dropped them
off this morning. I'll head to the range and investigate those
in a day or two. Supposed to be in the forty's with clear sky's.

Hopefully your first UBR match on May 1st will be t-shirt weather.
