Just like barrel length, the slower powder will always produce the higher velocity at LOWER pressure.

thanks. in my effort to be brief, i may have not been concise. by 'prefer' i really meant ease of tuning, width of node, consistent velocity and the like. in other words, across the span of suitable powders, should i investigate the faster ones first?No.
