Thanks for all your input. This trigger worked on my old 73 ish Anschutz and didn't do anything to the trigger. I had a friend help me remove some of the stock for the safety

Trigger fit action and worked like a dream.

Respectfully offered, yes it is the gold standard but no you don't have it on a 1408 unless modified like Lee is trying to figure out. The unmodified 5018 does not fit 14XX or 16XX rifles...Tom

Yes it does have 5018 installed and whatever was required for bolt. Works flawlessly. Apologies for discussion as this is not the place. Just commenting that this is a great trigger.
