An objective question.

I would have to say "YES" , there is something . A 200gr Berger Hybrid , sitting on top of 44.5gr of N-150 in a shiny Lapua case . But that just another opinion , isn't it ?
Got more than my fill of high-powered B.B. Guns after two tours in S.E. Asia .

Is there anything more attractive than a 80.5 Berger, 5 grand in the lands, over 23.8 N140 dressed in Lapua with 99 sisters? I almost feel bad for the X ring!
But how does it do in the wind, compared to all of the usual suspects? Asking because I haven’t ran the numbers. Heavy 30’s, 6&7mm? Any time I’ve messed with 223 at 600yd + I get a bit frustrated. I suppose it’s just knowing where to hold.

It was in or about 1987 that one of my customers came in, all excited, and started a conversation about bullets up to 80 grains in a faster twisted 223. My primary interest at the time was in short range BR and hunting. In neither of these venues was this of any great value, so I was less than intrigued. In fact, I was almost dismissive. Boy, was I off base!
Ten years later, I was shooting "F" class and the viability of small caliber, high BC bullets became obvious, even to me. I built a 6BR for a friend and shot it in a match to test it. It seemed almost too easy. Little recoil and accurate as could be. It wasn't quite as effective at wind bucking as my 6.5x55, but it was way easier to shoot. Once I got used to how much deflection to expect, it was fine.
At the same time, I shot alongside some 223's, shooting 80's, and it was about the same story. It seemed like, especially out to 600m, it was just fine. I'm pretty sure both will out-perform the 308; which I keep shooting out of sheer obstinance! WH

Sorry for the sarcasm guys when I said My wife.

I had no success with 80. 5 Bergers. Glad you did. I had to move to 85.5s in my 224 Valkyrie..
